What is it like to have Dyslexia?

Developed by the Northern California Branch of IDA, Experience Dyslexia is a hands on activity that lets participants experience some of the challenges and frustrations faced by people with language based learning difficulties such as dyslexia.

Who should participate in Experience Dyslexia?

This simulation is an engaging, thought-provoking activity for teachers, parents, community groups and organizations, or anyone interested in better understanding the lives of individuals with dyslexia.

What happens during Experience Dyslexia?

Participants rotate through learning stations that simulate language-based tasks found in educational and workplace settings. The stations are facilitated by IDA Rhode Island members.
